ONE SOLUTION ONLY TO ATOM BOMB
Received Friday, 7 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 7. Addressing a Parliamentary committee of the Crusade of World Government, Professor TTrey, a leading American atomic scientist, said it was not as well understood m x>ritain as it was in the TTnited States, that . there was * no adequate defence against the atomic bomb and tbat there never would be one. It was a saturation weapon and although some aircraf t carrying atomic bombs might be intercepted, others would be bound to get through and would obliterate their targets. When United Nations first began to consider control of atomic energy, American scientist^ decided to do notbing which would prejudice the issue. But for the past year- he had been personally convinced that nothing* would come of the United Nations' negotiations. There could be no solution except by ridding the world of war itself and that could only be done. by a wprld govenwnent.
