Dr. Pattabhi Sitaramayya, prom-ine-nt Congress leader and a member of the CongreSs working eommictee, told a meeting celebrating the "first year of home rule" that Earl Mountbatten must be sent away and a Republic declare'd. He said he meant nothing againsi Earl Mountbatten, but he represented the policy and programme of the British.
