MORE ABOUT BAN ON N.Z. LEAGUE PLAYERS
Received Friday, 10.15 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 6. Reuter says that the Rugby League Council in Manchester has approved the tour sub-committee's extension of the ban on the New Zealand Rugby League players signing with English clubs. The council suggested continuing the embargo for another five years. The New Zealanders are prDposing the ending of the ban on November 20, 1948, and .permitting transfers, with a heavy levy impGSed from December, 1948, to December, 1950, when the position should be reviewed. The council will discuss the matter at its next meeting in Leeds.
