ANNUAL REUNION HELD • The Druids' Hall was well filled on a recent evening for the annual reunion of the Shannon branch of the Returned Services' Association Visitors were present from various neighbouring branches and an excellent evening's entertainment resulted. Mr. D. Aitchison officiated as toastmaster and the following were the toasts honoured: "The President, Vice-presidents and executive of the N.Z.R.S.A.," proposed by Mr. J. Ritchie and responded to by Mr. H. B. Burdekin; "The Visitors," Mr. R. Hook — Mr. Lay, president of the Foxton R.S.A.; "The Entertainers," Mr. S. H. Roberts — Mr. F. O. Burtt. "Absent Comra'des," Mr. R. S. Downes. During the evening various musical and vocal items were rendered and a very successful programme was brought to a close at midnight. A collection taken up to aid the food for Britain fund of the local branch resulted in over £6 being contributed.
