In an attempt to elarify present-day problems of nutrition in Britain, tlie rouncil of tlie British Medieal Associatiou has decided to appoint a special committee representing researeh scientists, doctors tn general practice and health workers, to prepafe a special scientilic report. In a statement announcing this decision, the couneii says: "Great perjilexity exists among the lay public 011 the exact position to day regarding food ^tamlards. - An authoritative report by an iiulependent and impariiai committee inight do much to elarify the scientilic situation. "
