Three Months' Gaol
it is always a pamtui duty to send to prison a man who has served his country, but in -this case I have no option," commented Mr. A. A. McLachlan, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court at Palmerston North yesterday when imposing a sentence of three months' gaol on Jack Neville Bateman Crawford, married, aged 26 years, of Dunedin, on a charge of stealing a diamond ring valued at £16 10s, the property of some person unknown.
