FISHERMAN DROWNED

AUCKLAND, Nov. 2. When he became caught m some ropes on the launch Zora a fisherman fell overboard and was drowned while fishing in Hauraki Gulf between the Great Barrier and Little Barrier Islands on Saturday afternoon. He was Tong Delich, aged 52, married, of Auckland. With Faban Yukich, master and part owner of the launch, Mr. Delich left . Auckland last Tuesday on a fishing trfp. They went to th'e Great Barrier Island aird later fished between the two islands. Between 3 and 3.80 p.m. on Saturday Mr. Yukich heard a scream and turned around in time to see Mr. Delich dragged over the stern by some fishing ropes which had cauglit his legs. Mr, Yukich threw a lifebuoy into the water but Mr. Delich, who was wearing hip gumboots, sank instantly. A moderato sea was running at the time. . Mr. Yukich kept the launch in the area for about two hours but saw no sign of the body. He then brought the boat, baek to Auckland.
