Dunn heard Mickey sing the numbers, liked them, and is taking them back East with him to show them to his partners. Clark Gable and Laha Turner, considered one of the hottest romantic screen combinations, will co-star again when "Homecoming" goes into -production: next month. The story', which deals with the experiences of an army surgeon on return to his home town and civilian life, was written by Sidney Kingsley, who wrote one of Gable's earlier hits, "Men in'White." Almost every kind of shop, store or house that could be imagined in a typical Irish thoroughfare, is included in the huge street scene of "Odd Man Out." The set is used as a background throughout the greater part of the film. A tense mystery film shortly to go into production is "Wanted," starring Van Johnson, who will have Ava Gardner as his leading lady. Ava owes her important new assignment to the big impression she created as the night club singer in love with Clark Gable in "The Hucksters." Jose Iturbi has received a batch of cards from fans hailing him as a great lover.
