Ernest John McMahon, of the Syd nev suburb of Cremorne, when a home made liomb was e-xpioded under his bed room. Mr.- McMahon and two daughters were unharmed by the explosion whici. blew open garaga doors, spiinteree woodwork, damaged walls and shatter ed the windows of inany houses. Detectives learned today that a previou; attempt had been made to blow up Mr McMahon 's home but tlie charge failec. to expJode. They believe that the person rc-sponsible is a man harbouring a long-standing grudge against Mr. McMahon. Inquiries by deteetives suggesi tiiat the bombing was the culmmation of previous threats against NLr. AIc Mahon.
