LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL GOVERNOR-GENERAL'S V1SIT I INVITE shopkeepers and other business people in the town to close their business premises on Friday next, 31st instant, between the honrs of 11.30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to enable all citizens to attend the Civic Reception to be tendered to Their Excellencies the GovernorGeneral and Lady Freyberg. If the weather is unsuitable for an outdoor function, the reception will be held in the Regent Theatre. A decision on this point will be made early on Friday morning, and notice will be given by means of a flag flying on Adkin's Buildings in Oxford Street. If the flag is at the masthead, the Reception will be held in the Theatre. All persons attending the Reception at the Theatre must be seated not later than 11.55 a.m. Shokeepers and citizens generally are asked to display flags and buntmg. H. B. BURDEKIN, Mayor.
