RECORD NOMINATIONS

Levin Racing Club's Spring Keeting The Levin Racing Ciuh will conduct its spring meeting on November 8 and the nominations received total 277, an all-time record. No less than 45 horses have been nominated for the main event, the Levin Handicap which is. the largest yet. This is undoubtedly due to the handsome stake of £1000, the highest ever allocated in the club's history, and the fine trophies donated to it. Mr. C. Larsen has donated a silver tea service for the owner of the winning horse in this event and a gold mounted whip to the rider of it. Mr. G. Lamb of Manakau, has donated a split second stop watch to the trainer of the winning horse. The club is making first class .arrangements for the conduct of the meeting and, given fine weather, it is anticipated that the day will set a new ievel in suecesses.
