JEWISH GOVERNMENT PLANNED FOR PALESTINE?
Received Wednesday, 9.30 a.m. LONDON, Oct. 21 Plans are now completed for the settling up of a provisional Jewish Government in Palestine if and when the British troops are withdrawn, says Reuter, quoting an authoritative Jewish source in London. The leader would be Dr. Ben Gurion, head of the Jewish Agency. The plans provide for a Constituent Assembly, whose main task would be to draft the constitution and arrange a general election. Reuter adds that the same source said Ihe Jews had secret tentative as.su rances of immediate diplomatic recognition from the United States and Russia among otlier countries.
