FATAL TRACTOR ACCIDENT

GISBORNE, Oct. 21. A Maori station hand, Bundy Kaora, aged 19, received fatal injuries when the tractor he was driving overturned and crushed him on Taumata Station, at Rere. At an inquest a constable expressed the opinion that the accident was caused by the sledge which the tractor was hauling overtaking the tractor as it descended a bank, causing the driver to look round and unconsciously swing the tractor to the left up the bank, and thus overturn. The coroner returned a verdict of accidental death.
