KOPUTAROA'S MEETING

There was a good attendance of members at the monthly meeting of the Koputaroa Women's Instiuute, presided over by Mrs. Koberstein. Mesdames Pratt and Koberstein were appointed delegates to the Manawatu Federation's meeting at Oroua Downs, while Mesdames Storey and Koberstein were chosetl to represent the institute at a meeting to arrange for a Christmas party at the Levin Farm. A very ineresting demonstra'tion on fair-isle knitting was given by Mrs. Doyle, of Levin. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames Thompson and Stratton. The results of the competitions were: — Gift box to be donated to hospital: Mrs. Sanson 1, Mrs. Guy 2, Mrs. Brown 3. Juniors: Deborah Guy. Best Flower: Mrs. Netten. Best Shrub: Mrs. Netten. Junior, best flower, Deborah Guy. A social competition arranged by Mrs. W. J. Lancaster was won by Mrs, Pratt.
