GISBORNE, Oct. 16. Resolutions expressing dissatisf action with the proposed Statfe monopoly of workers' , compensation insurahce_ were pasSed by a meeting of the Gisborne members of the Insurance Workers' Union. The flrst resolution protested that the proposal would jeopardise the livelihoodiof insurance workers; and the secdhd motion contended that the Crown shouid have been consulted on the proposed legislatiOh.
