CLOTHES FOR CHINA
s CORSO SENDS 500 GARMENTS t 1 The packing and despatch of 500 garments for needy cases in China was reported at a recent meeting of the Levin branch of CORSO by its sewing circle. There was a good attendance of members at the meeting, over which the president, Mrs. H. B. Burdekin, presided. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Pene, Moir, Harvey and Tabor. t Following the serving of afternoon tea, Mrs. Burdekin took the j opportunity of weleoming Mrs. : Keedwell to the meeting following her recent illness. Mrs. Burdekin said that as Mrs. Keedwell woul'd be leaving shgrtly on a visit to i England, members felt they could , not allow her to leave without showing their apprdciation of her services to the branch. Mrs. Burdekin : then presented her with a beautiful I pqsy, the work of Mrs. R. W. Evans, ;while Mr. Burdekin, on behalf of the committee, asked her to accept I a small gift.
