Grice "The Great Thing in Life-is not so much where we stand, but in what direction we are moving." A Hearty Welcome. To All. BIBLE TRUTH HAVE WE ETERNAL LIFE NOW? A popular answer would be, Yes; the Scriptural answer is undoubtedly, No. Because eternal or everlasting life results from a change of this corruptible and mortal body into an incorruptible arid immortal one. "He shall change our vile • body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body," Phil. 3; 21. "This corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality," 1 Cor. 15; 53. Our present mortal and corruptible state is therefore evidence that we do not no\v possess immortal life. Further convineing evidence elucidating the truth advanced in this column sent to any address on application to: — H. W. Christie, McDonald Road, Levin.
MAN QUESTIONS, GOD ANSWERS Is eternal life (which God speaks of as the gift of God in Rom. 6, 23) physical life, or is it Spiritual life? What saith the Scriptures? In John 3, 3, Jesus said to Nicodemus, Ex'cept a man be born again he cannot see the Kingdom of God (necessitating a new birth) , verse 6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh (natural birth) and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit (Spiritual birth). In I John 5, 12, HE THAT HATH THE SON HATH LIFE. (That is eternal life, which is Spiritual and' God given, when the sinner " believes on the Lord Jesus Christ, see John 5, 24, then jnotice the negative slde in 1 John 5, 12) . HE THAT HATH NOT THE SON OF GOD HATH NOT LIFE. Reader, the above Scriptures prove beyond doubt that "Eternal Life" is the present possession of the believer, and is a new life given, but is not the possession of the unbeliever. Eph. 1, 1 (written to the believers at Ephesus), And you hath He auickened (made alive) who were dead in trespasses and sihs.
