This committee will study partieularly the question of obtaining relief from taxation of amounts set aside as reserves by dairy companies and the proeuring of legislation to assist dairy companies which are 'in difficulties as a result of a preponderanee of non-supplying shareholders. The conference also agreed that a cdntinued effort should be made to have the law amended so that county councils and the State Highways Board might permit the ereetion of service stands on the roadside and also eontrol thenx without incurring liability for them. The effeet of sueh an amendment, it was stated, would be to bring service stands into line with telephone and power poles.
