MIRACLE ROSES

. Received Wednesday, 8.15 p.m. LONDON, Oct. 8. Visitors are beginning to flock to the Roman Church of St. Mary at Stockport, Cheshire, to see the "miracle" roses on the head of the statue of the Virgin. They were placed there on May 4 and are still intact. Scientists may he allowed to inspect them later but for the present the parish priest, the Rev. James Turner, has ruled that they must not he disturbed. "The roses were bought from a florist in the ordinary way," he said last night, "but what has happened is beyond the law of nature. I believe it is the work of God."
