The Ministry of Food, following talks between the Lord Mayor of Sydney and Mr Strachey, has accepted the Australian plan to ship gift food in hulk at reduced transport and postal costs and in less time than at present, says the Daily Telegraph. The Ministry received guarantees of strict precautions to prevent the food entering the hlack market. The parcels, under the plan, will he delivered in a fortnight or three weeks, ohviating the present time lag of up to fiye months. Postal charges will he reduced from 5s lOd per parcel to ls ld.
