Her companion ivaadinitted to hospitat sulfering from coMCussion and nbrasions. The women involved were: — Mrs. Elsie Uhalmers Pintm, 47 married with four children, Of 16 l'ine Hil! Terrace; killed. Mrs. llilda Young, 39, widow, 1.8 Binc Hill Terrace, condition satisfactory/ Tlie two women had , been shopping and were standing 011 the paveinent talking when the accident occurred. A 15cwt. delivery van driven by Jame.s Edwanl Turner Easson, was coniine along I'ine Ilill Terrace from tlie direetion of the city and puIled"~inMo tlie korb. It is understood that as tlie brakes were applied tlie vchiclc skidded* violently and mounted the footpath, The two women tried to movo out of the way but both were struck. Mrs. Pimm was carried along with the van which had to be lifted with a .-jacl: Jbefore hef body could be reuioved Mrs.' Pimm is survived by her husbaud, cwo sons and two daughters. i
