LOOKING FOR A CANDIDATE Tlie Mayor, Mr. C. F. Atmore, has definitely decided not to seek reelection at the local body elections in November, and endeavours are now being made to find a resident to accept nomination. Mr. L. G. Lowry and Major-General R. Young have both been approached, but declined the invitation. It is understood that three of the present councillbrs, Messrs Gimblett and Bepnett and General Young,. will not seek , re-election, but that the other three, Messrs 'Bartosh; Hakaraia and Cook, will again be candldates.
