During the war light houses in many parts of the world were destroyed or damaged and British firms which speeialise in lighthouse eonstruction, secured the majority of contracts for repairs and replacements. Since the war orders have been received from Malayaj Ghina, Yugoslavia, Inaia, Burma, South Africa and New Zealand.
