With the three-days' spring meeting of the Wellington Racing Club only a fortnight off, the running at the Otaki Maori Racing Club's spring fixture is being followed with the keennest of interest by students of form. With the majority of horses racing at Otaki tomorrow, when the meeting concludes, engaged at the Masterton . Club's fixture the following week for the grand rehearsal . before Trentham, students should gain something to go' on when it comes to selecting them for Wellington.

In the main event tomorrow, the Rere Nikitini Memorial, notable runners engaged to be seen out at Trentham later are Tremello, Gay Stroller, Sakuntala, Lord Theio,. Ngatoki and Sheilwyn, all of .which are practically at the peak of their form. Sakuntala is well forward and holds excellent prospects of reaching the winning list tomorrow. She is in strong demand and is the likely favourite. Ngatoki is another well to the fore. Tremello might need'the race to bring him to his best, the same also applying to Gay Stroller. A lightweight prospect is Delinquent who has greatly benefited from last week's race in the sprint.

• With Zealander absent Alderman is in solid demand for the Waiorongomai Handicap and he is expected to give another good account of himself. A fresh horse, if started here in preference to Hastings, with form prospects is Omit. Others to be respected are Gay Corrie, Treasure Tee, Colopier, Sheilwyn and Brown Derby. Other meetings tomorrow are the concluding days of the Hawke's Bay and Dunedin Jockey Clubs' spring fixtures. Fifst day's form at Hawke's Bay might prove fairly reliable.
