Under the system whereb-y exservieemen are allocated 50 per cent. of newly completed or vacant State rental houses and fiats, 91 ex-servicemen received tenancies in August. This brought the total of ex-servicemen's allocations mitil the end of that month to 7272. The following are allocations made, those for August being given in parentheses: Auckland - North Auckland 2120 (31), Waikato-Bay of Plenty 558 (8) , Hawke's BayPoverty Bay 307 (1) , Taranaki 206 (3), Wellington Province, including Wanganui,. Manawatu, Wairarapa, etc., 2614 (25) , Nelson-Marl-borough-Westland 165 (3), Canterbury Province 734 (6) , Otago Province 417 (7), Southland Province 151 (7).
