The yarding of 1000 -j head included some good cattle most of ! which came forward in genuine station- j bred lines but ther.e was a number of | small lines. Values for . forward-condi- j tioned bullocks ranged from £1(3 to I £16 6s, with lighter at £14 13s to £14 j 19s. Three-year stecrs made £13 Is to j £13 2s, good two-year steers £10 10s to | £17 17s, lighter £9 17s to £10 4s, and j yearling steers £8 13s to £9 ls. Empty j eows sold at £9 14s. With the inarket . for ox beef overloaded, values slumped by up to 50s a head. Female beef, however, sold at j ruling rates. Heavy sorts realised up to £10 ls. Well-tinished cows ranged from £13 13s Od to £15 8s (id, with a Jine at from £13 8s (id to £15 8s (id. Wliile values for store hoggets wert firni, ewes and lainbs which were in more plentiful sup])ly in the yarding of 2500 hea-1, were easier by up to 2s a head. Good cwe hoggets realised 41a ld, others making 40s Sd. Wether hoggets were tradeil at from 30s 5(1 to 37s. Top price for ewes and lambs was 27s 9d paid for a liue which included particularlv good lambs. Other ewes and lainbs sold at from 20s 5(1 to 25s all counted. A consignment of meaty two-tooth wethers olf tlie sliears at tracted attention to sell at 3ils 9d. Otlier sliorn two-tootli wetliers made 32s .1(1, and a Hue of woo'ily wetliers was traded at 3Ss 3d.
