TYPHOON DROPS DEAD
While working with Arco in a trial gallop at Awapuni ye'sterday morning the seven-year-old Defoe gelding Typhoon dropped dead after travelling about a furlong.
TYPHOON Typhoon, owned by Mr. A. Preston, Junr., of Wellington, was ridden by V. J. Sellars and Arco by C. Eley, and they were to have galloped half a mile. After they had travelled a furlong Typhoon fell and died almost at once. Vic Sellars received a shaking but was otherwise unhurt.
