Headquarters of the Faniine Emergency Conunittee advise the result of the total coupon and fat savings to date from which may be seen that the Palmerston Nortli postal district has put up a splendid performance. Palmerston* North occupies fourth place in the number of butter coupons saved, third place in the number of meat coupons saved, aud second place in the amount nf fat saved.
