Women 's ihstitute held its montlily ! meeting in the Oddf ellows' Hall last week, Miss Clapcott presiding over a good attendance of members. After saying the aspirations, Miss Clapcott welcomed the guest speaker for the evening, Mrs. N. M. Thomson, and the representative from the senior W.I., Mrs. M. Kehoe. I Mrs. Thomson 's talk on her trip I through f oreign countries was ! enthusiastically received. j The monthly Competitions were judged by Mrs. Kehoe, the results {being as follows: — Best bloom: M. i Clapcott 1, J. Newman 2, D. Davies 3. Hand worked tea towel: D. I Davies 1, D. Johnson 2, J. Newman 3. Supper was served and the remainder of the evening was spent. in playing games. The next meeting will be held on October 21. The competition will be a covered sewing box.
