Mr. J. H. Norman, who has- been stationmaster at Levin for the past six months; has been notified of his transfer to a similar position at Taneatua. Mr. A. Hayward, at present stationmaster at Patea, will succeed Mr. Norman iii Levin.. Mrs. W. S. Lett, of Levin, judged the decorative section of the daffodil show at Palmerston North yesterday, and tomorrow will adjudicate on the needlework section at ■the: Shannon Show. The death occurred at Palmerston North on Wednesday of Mr. W. T. Penny. He had led a full and, useful life in the community and was widely khown as the former secretary of the Manawatu A. and P. Association, a position he held for 22 years.
