AUSTRALIAN CORVETTE SINKS AFTER STRIKING MINE
Received Mond.acy, 12.5 a.m. SYDNEY, Sept. 14. While engaged iri minesweepirig operations ^north af Cairns at 5.45 p.m. • yesterday the Australian corvette Warrnambool struck a mine and sank immediately. Two members of the crew were fatally injured and another man is missing. Twenty-six others were injured.
