Received Friday, 7.0 p.m. LONDON, Sept. lz. Despite the British Government 's ap peal to women to return to industry the number employed fell by 6000 during July, according to the Ministry oi Labour. On the other hand there wras an increase of 41,000 in the number oi men, bringing the total number of -workers employed in industry to 18,495,OUO. This is over 2,000,000 more. than on Y.J. Day. The total working population in July was 20,153,000. Unemployment fell by 5855 to 249,691 or 11 per cent. of insured workers.
