LARGE MAORI GATHERING FOR MEMORIAL HALL OPENING

GISBORNE, Sept. 11. A fleet of six buses belonging to the Railway -^Road Services will transport 300 Maoris, who are arriving in Gisborne by special train early tomorrow morning, to the Ruatoria hui, where the Gov-ernor-General will open the Uepohatu Memorial Hall. The visitors will first be taken to >the Gisborne meeting-house, where breakfast will be served under the direction of the Native Department, and thence in- batches to Ruatoria. They will return by the same transport on Sunday, rejoining a special train for Wellington departing late that afternoon.
