GRIMETHORPE MEN WEAKEN.

Received Wednesday, 1.2 a.m. LONDON, Sept. 9. The Grimethorpe colliery strikers have weakened in their resolve to stay out until the National Coal Board lifts the order making them work a larger coal face, says Reuter's correspondent. The strikers, following Mr. Arthur Horner' s accusation that their attitude could cause the Government 's downfall, began to .doubt if they could hold the sympathy of the miners in 43 other pits who are supporting* them. The miners' representatives in Parliament and union officials will appeal personally to the strikers today to return. One official said: "I am very hopeful that we can get them all back this week. We are getting in touch witn the men personally. It is the only hridge. we have left. ' '
