Received Wednesday, 10.45 a.m. LONDON, Sept. 9. The disembarkation of the Jewish refugees aboard the Runnymede Park was completed after ninety minutes fighting. It is officially stated in Hamburg that a time bomb was discovered in the hold qf the Empire Rival after che Jews had landed. The bomb was taken away and placed in the centre of the barracks square for mspection by explosive experts, but it exploded before they had arrived. The expl'osion "blew out windows 100 yards away. A battle raged down the Runnymede Park gangway when a young fanatic with a bleeding ' head and tattered clothes fought with soldiers. He was thought to be the . leader of the resistance and was taken to prison under a strong guard. The. Jews, after the arrest of the ringleader, disembarked more peaceably. It is believed, says Reuter's Hamburg correspondent, that the name of the resistance leader is Rosman. Reuter's correspondent off the Runnymede Park, during the voyage to Hamburg, inerviewed Mordecai Miry Rosman, who said: "The Jews will teach the Arabs a lesson in the shedding of blood if the Arabs carry out their threat to oppose* the United Nations' Palestine proposals." Altogether about a dozen of the ringleaders of the Runnymede Park resistance were taxen to Hamburg prisons. The .casualties during the operation were fifteen Jews, seven Jewesses and three British soldiers. One soldier had a broken arm and another lost a finger, whiie the third vhad a ripped face. The htteen Jews were taken to hospital.
