SOVIET DEMANDS PROBE INTO COLONIAL TERRITORIES
Received Sunday, 8.50 p.m. NEW YORK, Sept. 7. The Soviet proposed to the Uuited Nations' special committee drawing up data which the colonial 'Powers will be required to furnish regarding nonselfgoverning territories that the United Nations should investigate annually the living conditions in those territories. The Soviet delegate (Mr. Ja?ob Lomalcin) claimed that the data already submitted was inaccurate, incQmplete and uijsatisfactory. The United Nations should pbtain better information, especially regarding the. na,tives/ political development. The British and Ausfralian -delegates challenged Mr. Lomakin* to prove his .s.tatements. The debate will be resumed pn Monday.
