LEVIN JUNIOR CIRCLE MEETS The monthly meeting of the juniior circle of the Levin Women's I-nstitute was held; recently in the Gdd.fellows' Hall with a large attendance of mem,b.ers. After saying th.e aspirations the presi-!. ;dent, Miss Clapcott, welcomed all present, esp'ecially Mrs. Hannan, who was the senior member present for the month, and Miss Dempsey, who- kindly offered hpr services in the judging of the scrapbooks. which were the monthly competition. The. results were.: B. Blenkhorn 1, D. Johnston and L. Curtis 2 (equal) , M. Clapcott and M. Powell 3 ( equal),. Mrs. Hannan 'kindly- judged the best bloom the results of which, weire-: D. Davies 1, Ek Blenkhorn 2, J. Newman 3. Three boxes of choeolates were won by Mr. Philiips. - , ■ The remainder of the eyening wa# spent in games, the winners being: Kim's game, J. Easton; street plan, J. Coombes. After a delightful; supper.fiad been served ' the* presdent presented Mss L. Curtis, who is lea.ving to be married, with a gift on behalf of the institute. The September meeting will be held- on Tuesday, September 16, and the competition is a home made tea-towel from a floul bag, the hostess.es' being Miss J. Newman and Miss M. Hartstonge.
