Townsend and Paul, Ltd., fruit and produce merchants, Wellington, report that during the past week only limited supplies of fruit have been arriving, meeting with an exceptonally ' strdng demand. Vegetables have been coming to 'hand more freely with subsequent reduction in values. Smaller yardings of poultry have resulted in a very keen demand, heavy birds being placed at exceptionally fine figures. Flowers have been more plentiful with values accordingly easier.
