BIBLE TRUTH Men are not, and "have not "immortal souls." Where in the Bible are any such ideas taught? Nowhere. The Bible does not contain the phrases "Imifiortal soul" or "Immortal spirit." Neither does it say "souls" are "immortal." It gives to God alone — immortality — "who only hath immortality." 1 Tim. 6; 16 and 1; 17. The Bible | teaches that man, the person, is mortal. or subject to death! Job. 14; 10, "Man dieth and wasteth away . where is he?" verse 2, "He continueth not." Isaiah 64; 6, "We all do fade as a leaf." See aiso Isa. 40; 6, Rom. 5; 12, James 4; 14. Free literature setting forth the truth of the things advanced in these columns from: — H. W. Christie, McDonald Road, Levin. MAN QUESTION3, GOD ANSWERS Question: How can Salvation be an inward. experience now when we have to "work out our own Salvation with fear and trembling?" Phil. 2. 12. The next verse (13) answers the question, viz. FOR IT IS GOD (Go dthe Holy Spirit) WHICH WORKETH IN YOU, both to will and of his good pieasure. _n John 5.24. Salvation is a present possession of the believer, and in 2 Cor. 6. 2. We are reminded. Now is the accepted time, behold now is the day of Salvation. At the Judgment seat of Christ 1 Cor. 3. 11-15. It is not Salvation that is in question, but reward for Service. Note verse 15: If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
