SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS
NEW PLYMOUTH, Sept. 4. In almost impossible snow eonditions, R. McKenzie, of Wellington, v\Ton the New Zealand men's slalom ski title which was decided this afternoon 011 Mt. Egmont. He beat IC Kear, of North Egmernt Hostel, by two-fifths of a second. The weather wai? hne and sunny but the snow at the start of the coui'se was so hard that control and turning were very difficult. There were many fall's.
