A packet which exploded when iropped into a sorting basket at he South-west London Post Office his afternoon injured two post■.nen v/ho were taken to hospital. The explosion shook the windows of neighbouring offices and it was heard over a wide area. The two 'tijured postmen suffered lacerated feet. The packet was collectsd during he day from a postbox, and wasieing stamped before sorting when it exploded. The postmen said the oacket was originally postmarked ''Eire" and had been redirected. It is believed the packet was among mail collected from the War office during the day.
