ASSESSING EXTENT OF HELP
Received Wednesday, 11 a.m. PARIS, Sept. 2. Sir Oliver Franks, chairman of fche Marshall Plan Committee for European co-operation, said the figure of £7,250,000,000, which had been mentioned as the totdl aid Europe required, was purely a provisional figure used by the statistical group of the eonferenee. He said the figure did not represent the considered view of the eonferenee, and it is improbable that the final figure will be identical.
