N.Z. CLOTHING SHIPPED OVERSEAS

WELLINGTON, Sept. 2. ^ Six thousand cases of clothing for children and adults have been prepared in New Zealand for distribution by the British Red Cross. Much of the clothing is already on its way. The shipment contains about 250,000 garments, some,. such as overcoats, being worth £7 each. The average value is about £1. There has been excellent eooperation by all concerned. The Government has provided storage in Wellington and Auckland and the shipping companies are taking the clothing free up to a maximum of ten tons measurement. All the garments are in excellent condition, and not just snabby clothes. Materials were required for making some clothes, wool being knitted into garments and some of th.e children's clothing being fashioned from adults.-. . ' ; .
