ONLY TOKEN SITDOWN STRIKE EXPECTED AT HAMBURG
Received Tuesday, 10.10 a.m. LONDON, Sept. 1. Major Sam Ellis, commanding thq escort troops in the Ocean Vigour, one of the ships carrying the illegal Jewish immigrants to Hamburg, stated that during mass meetings in the ship's hold the majority of che immigrants swore they would not fight the British troops at Hamburg. "At the worst I don't expect more than a token sitdown strike," said Major Ellis.
