The world famous 'billiardist, Horace Lindrum, of Australia, who arrived in Auckland yesterday to tour New Zealand, had a keen rival on board who also lays claim to fame with cue and ball. What is more his rival is a woman. She will return to Britain to compete in the women's world billiards championship. She was asked to remain in Britain and become a member of the billiards control council but decided to make the trip to help New Zealand and Australia become leading countries in the game. Lindrum is not perturbed at this competition; in fact he likes it. The woman is his mother, Mrs. Violet Lindrum.
