Annoved by the comments of sonie London newspapers upon tho'poor ;ittendance at iiis seveu-year-old daugliter Renee's revival meeting at Albert Hall, Mr. Jack Martz, the Ameriea'n ex-band leader and evangelist, asked the audience at >Stoke-on-Trent to pray for I.ondon newspapers and said: "The \\Tuth of (lod should be called dovvn upon people who sit in their ofiiees and write about us as thou'gh we are a lnoney-making sliow. " Eenee, when she went to the niierophone, praved tliat "God will reac'n into the liearts of the national news|ja[iers of Kngland and start there a great- revival — start it in the hearts of the editors and jou rnalists who write these pieces about us. " !Jr. IMart/., before the meeting broke u]>. said: "W'e didu't lose £2f)() at 'the Albert Hall meeting — we gave it away. I ain only interesled in changing English pounds into souls saved. Tonight, though, will you hel)) us to repav some of what was given away?" Despitt1 this appeal the meeting showed a loss of £10.
