HOLIDAY HOUSE FOR ORPHANS

The co-operative eifort of many benefactors, who have donated materials and labour, or promised to do so, will go into th,e building of a holiday house at Paraparaumu Beach for .children from . Presby-' terian orphanages. So far nearly £200 in cash and many essentials in materials and equipment have been donated, including several windows and the foundations. Goods still required are estimated at £470. The house will accommodate 10 children and a supervisor, and will give many orphans the opportunity of a beach holiday. If the framework is finished by January, some of the older orphanage boys Will help the superintendent, Mr. H. S. Cross, to finish the job.
