Viseount Alexander, Governor-General of Canada, was quotcd today as declaring that United Rtates should send aid to Greece even if it meant war with Russia. Viseount Alexander, wlio is visiting New York to address the American Legion convention, was asked by reporters to coniment 011 the statenient by Mr. Paul Griffitli, national coinmander of the American Legion, that United Rtates should continue its aid to Greece even if it meant war with Russia. Viseount Alexander is reported to have replied: "If United States sends aid to Greece, even if it means war with Russia, United Rtates had an obligation to do so. We should stick to our friends, vou lcnow. " He added as an afterthought : "I will probably have liiv Jicad knocked off for sayiug that. "
