Jovnt Scfoir Bebating Otago University won the Joynt Scroll for debating in Wellington. Mr. P. O'Connor, of Otago, was chosen as the best speaker, with ! Messrs. R. Somerville (Massey) and B. T. Smith (Auckland) second equal. Mr. C. L. Patterson was the other member of the Otago team who debated with Massey College Idn the subject, "That Capital Pun- ! ishment Should be Reintroduced in iNew Zealand."
