POROUTAWHAO W.I. MEETS

o Mrs. Carle presided at the August meeting of the Poroutawhao Women's Institute. Owing to the inclement weather the attendance was affected. The guest speaker for 1:he afternoon was Mr. C. A. Guy, superintendent of the Levin Farm. He gave an interesting talk on the activities of the farm and it was enjoyed by all. Mrs. Carle extended the thanks of members to Mr. Guy. A dainty afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Spiers and Graham. The cdmpetitions were won by Mesdames Hanham (best shrub) and Scott (best bloom) .
